 First time cross country skier
« Result #1 on Nov 30, 2009, 9:32pm »

Any thoughts on a first pair of cross country skis?
I've been looking at Alpina Control 192cm's and Rossignol BC 65's in 195cm length. I'm 6'00" and 250 pounds. I plan on doing mostly track skiing initially and working my way into the back country.

Byrncliff is such a beautiful course. I played there last weekend & the course was in excellent condition. The course has some tremendous holes. I strongly recommend playing at Byrncliff any time of the year & especially in the fall. There are unbelievable sightlines that you experience due to the elevation changes on the course. Now I may be a little bias about this course because I do play there often. I do play several other nice courses in WNY, but for my money Byrncliff offers so much. Great layout, elevation changes, resonable prices, the scenery is unbelieveable & the employees are all friendly & helpful. If you haven't played Byrncliff for godsakes give it a try & believe me you won't regret it.

I have never played a round of golf at Byrncliff but I do enjoy the x-country skiing in the winter. I am sure it's a challenging course with beautiful scenery as a bonus!

This location looks very inviting. Typically when does the course open and has anyone played it and has any comments.

Thanks
